"Deep listening is miraculous for both listener and speaker. When someone receives us with open-hearted, non-judging, intensely interested listening, our spirits expand."

PODCASTS

Podcasts are an extremely popular way to communicate information to a vast and diverse audience. Click on the title link in yellow above to visit our podcasts page where we have listed a respectable array of podcasts we have produced.

Podcasts - What are they?
I am the producer of audio podcasts which makes me a podcaster or as I prefer to say, a “podcast woman”. Here you’ll find out what a podcast is, how they are produced, how you can listen to them and how you can let the world hear your podcast!

Audio Podcast-What Is It?
An audio podcast is a digitally produced (just like a song) piece, usually saved as a wav file or mp3. Content can be as simple as a story, a lecture or an interview or it can be “fully produced” like a commercial or a presentation complete with music and/or sound effects. An audio podcast can be a very short piece—as little as a few seconds to as long as an hour or more. Length depends on how you’d like to inspire your listener. Shorter podcasts can often be uploaded into iPods or mp3 players - between songs to be listened to over and over again. Lengthier podcasts are often used in more commercial or corporate settings, as a learning tool.

Audio Podcast-How Are They Produced?
Audio Pocasts can be produced in a recording studio or on location as long as you have the proper equipment. A podcast studio can be built with the following: a good computer, a good microphone, an interface, a processor and a program. Room noise is also a consideration so it’s important to have a quiet space and/or soundproofing. Podcasts can also be recorded “on location” using a high quality microphone and a digital recorder. Usually those recordings are brought back to the studio for editing and “polishing”. Numerous modalities are turned into podcasts so, depending on the project, a script is often written. You’ll produce better content for interviews and/testimonials when the producer records “ad libed” content, creating a sound that is natural and real.

Audio Podcast-How To Listen To Them?
Audio podcasts are very easily uploaded to websites—just like you upload pictures or video. Any reputable web person will be able to do this. The listener will then be able to listen to the podcast while on the website. Also with a right mouse click, podcasts can be saved to computers. From there, listeners will have the opportunity to upload that saved audio file into their iPod for listening later. Many podcasts are offered to listeners free of charge. There is a fee for others—again something you can determine and institute with your web person. Some podcasts have such important, inspirational or motivational content that you can take your produced digital files, burn CDs and generate revenue through “back of the room” sales.

Audio Podcasts-How To Inspire The World!
Our online digital world is filled with some beautiful images and life enhancing text. Adding audio will take your online content to the next level and give your site another dimension. The fact that this audio can be multiplied and quickly shared is truly exciting and can help you spread your message to the masses. Listeners go to the web everyday in search of conversations, inspiration and educational messages and can very easily take those messages “on the road” (into their iPods) for more convenient listening. Audio podcasts are more than the wave of the future. They are how we reach our clients, our friends and the universe right now. They can inspire while listeners drive (there are some very simple car adaptors), while listeners meditate and/or while they expand their knowledge.
